About WCBN
A 501(c)(3) Christian broadcasting network founded to reach everyone, everywhere with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Our Story
Why "We CARE Broadcasting Network"?
God speaks to Dr. Charles Kent in acronyms, and the first acronym he ever received was C.A.R.E. — Concerned About Reaching Everyone.
If you look in Acts chapter 6, we see Philip, chosen by the multitude as one of seven men who were considered wise and unprejudiced, who could meet the practical needs of all the believers regardless of their language or background.
Two chapters later, we see him going down to the city of Samaria — Philip being a Jew, and the Jews had no dealings with the Samaritans — proclaiming to them the Christ. The next thing we see is Philip chasing down a chariot with an Ethiopian eunuch, at the instruction of an angel of the Lord, that he might expound the scriptures to him.
Philip was then seen in Azotus, Caesarea, and in Macedonia. He then moved on to Toras, Galilee, and on to Bethsaida, and Nazareth. He traveled to all people in all lands, spreading the Word of the Lord. The "Spirit of Philip" is one that crosses all cultural, relational, and social boundaries — and this is the foundation of WCBN.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations… teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Matthew 28:19–20 (AMP)
The message is clear: God has given us a mandate to GO into all the world and reach all people, everywhere, preaching His Word. WCBN enables us to do that across the entire globe.
Our Founders
Dr. Charles & Juleane Kent
Dr. Charles Kent
Co-Founder · Apostle · Author
Dr. Charles Kent was born and raised on the south side of Chicago, in the volatile 1950s. He underwent a profound transformation in April 1974 when he embraced Christ. His journey is a testament to divine intervention; once a gangster and drug addict, he emerged as a beacon of hope.
A decorated Vietnam Veteran and Purple Heart recipient, Dr. Kent served his country as a US Marine in South Vietnam. Guided by the wisdom of Elder Davis and Mother Roberts of Morgan Park Assembly, he honed his calling.
As a fifth-generation preacher ordained in 1980, he earned a Doctoral Degree in Pastoral Studies, alongside a Master's in Christian Education, Social Work, and Anthropology.
Dr. Kent is an author, possessing a unique gift with words — particularly in crafting acronyms and acrostics that bring the Word of God alive to the reader. He is an Apostle, called to the nations, carrying with him a strong teaching anointing. His global travels, spanning five continents, echo the apostolic fervor of his mentor, Dr. Garnet M. Budge, whose legacy he ardently upholds.
Juleane Kent
Co-Founder · Prophet · Apostle
Juleane Kent lived her early years in Brisbane, Australia. Her family moved to Lismore, where she spent the majority of her teen years before moving back to the Brisbane area. Both of Juleane's parents were in the ministry. Her father, Dr. Garnet M. Budge, was an Apostle and went home to be with the Lord in January 2012. Her mother, Pastor Bette Budge, now 95 years of age, continues to be a powerhouse for the Kingdom of God.
Juleane was saved at 2, baptized in the Holy Ghost speaking in other tongues at age 4, and baptized in water at age 6. She grew up learning to pray for the sick and cast out demons from an early age. By the age of 7, she was already involved in music ministry. She led her first home group at age 12, taught Sunday School into her early 20s, and began preaching and teaching the Word of the Lord at 16.
Juleane worked as the administrator of her father's church and global minister's network for over 35 years and was installed as senior pastor and president of Global Apostolic Network when her father was promoted to glory. Ordained in April 2010, she carries on the legacy of her father, continuing the Apostolic mantle which he placed upon her before going home to glory. Juleane is recognized as both a Prophet and an Apostle sent to the nations.
When God joined Dr. Charles and Juleane together in marriage, He meshed together their individual God-given gifts, talents, and callings, with an extraordinary plan and purpose that surpasses the sum of their individual strengths.
Their passion is to not only reach people with the Truth of God's Word, but to teach, train, equip, and empower people to grow and operate in the fullness of the calling of God upon their lives. They believe the Bible is the written and inspired Word of God, and God has called them to minister to anyone, anywhere, at any time.
